CHANCE FOR FREEDOM IS OUT!!

Hello Everyone. I do hope your beginning of 2013 has been wonderful!

I learned something in 2012...with my health issues (the main reason I Indie publish my books), I will never give another date when any books will be released. I did, however, make the deadline of 2012...by maybe 6 hours. I uploaded CHANCE FOR FREEDOM everywhere on December 31st.

People who enjoyed SECOND CHANCES will hopefully like seeing many of the same characters in CHANCE FOR FREEDOM and for others who have not read SC, this book does stand alone also.

This book holds a special place in my heart. I never, in a million years, would have guessed that I would write a book having anything to do with slavery...I abhor it so, but Malcolm had to be a noble hero...and in making him such, he needed a purpose to his life before he met Katherine. I do not show the ugly side of slavery in my book. It would just hurt my heart too much, even just the research affected me. My heart hurts for anyone who suffered (suffers) through being a slave.

You can also learn about The West Africa Squadron (the part of the Royal Navy Malcolm served for years), that patrolled the coast of West Africa trying to stop the slave trafficking, in the book at at Wikipedia.

Blurb:

Haunted from his years of service to The West Africa Squadron, where he endeavored to stop the trafficking of slaves, Captain Malcolm Westbourne is assigned to the disappearances of orphans in England.

Miss Katherine Ashby is thrilled when Malcolm arrives to protect her orphans, but her happiness is short-lived when he insists on an explanation of why she rejected his courtship a year ago. Katherine is falling in love with Malcolm, but must confront what happened to her as a child if she desires a future with him.

Malcolm had never experienced the instant attraction he felt when first being introduced to Katherine, but he also sees the fear in her eyes. He pursues her with kindness, humor, and patience in an attempt to gain her trust.

When Malcolm’s investigation turns deadly, he, too, must face the demons of his past. Will Katherine and he break free from the shackles binding them and learn to trust each other, or will they be held prisoner to the past forever?
